In October 2021, the provincial government of Sindh in Pakistan entered into a collaborative partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a reputable Chinese firm. The primary objective of this joint effort is to establish. And operate a cutting-edge plant with a substantial capacity of 400 MW. This advanced facility aims to generate an impressive daily output of around 150,000 kilograms of green hydrogen.
Green hydrogen, generated by utilizing renewable energy sources like solar panels or wind turbines, emerges as a profoundly sustainable and eco-friendly fuel. When burned, it does not release any greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, distinguishing it from fossil fuels. Instead, it solely produces water as a byproduct. Although, the Sindh government has recently allocated a substantial portion of land, spanning across 7,000 acres, in the picturesque Gharo district of Thatta for an ambitious project.
