These figures reflect the latest developments in the gold market, highlighting the ongoing fluctuations in prices.
This week’s descent in gold prices began on Monday with a significant drop of Rs. 1,000 per tola, followed by an additional decrease of Rs. 200 per tola on Tuesday. The downward trend persisted on Wednesday, as the precious metal saw a depreciation of Rs. 1,800 per tola.
When considering the cumulative impact, the price of gold has now plummeted by a substantial Rs. 3,200 per tola over the course of the current week. Moreover, the overall decline in the price of gold during the ongoing month has amounted to an impressive Rs. 15,900 per tola.
In the global market, spot gold experienced a decline of 0.3 percent, reaching $1,927.38 per ounce as of 1040 GMT, while US gold futures witnessed a decrease of 0.4 percent, ultimately closing at $1,937.60.
