This decision aims to provide relief to consumers by making these essential cooking ingredients more affordable and accessible.

According to an official notice issued by the Corporation, which was subsequently shared on Twitter by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the Utility Stores Corporation has implemented a notable reduction in the prices of first-tier brands of ghee and edible oil. Moreover, the revised rates reflect a decrease of Rs. 69 per kilogram for ghee and Rs. 76 per liter for edible oil, bringing relief to consumers.

The notification further highlights that the sale price of subsidized ghee has been adjusted to Rs. 490 per kilogram, making it more affordable for the general public. Although, these efforts aim to alleviate the financial burden on individuals and promote accessibility to essential food products.

It was announced by the authority that the recent reduction in prices has brought about a substantial sense of relief for all customers of USC (Utility Service Company) as well as the marginalized and economically disadvantaged members of society.
