Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well. Welcome back to another blog. Today we will talk about everything you need to know about Brand’s SSDs Erasing Users’ Data. Western Digital has addressed a major flaw in its SanDisk Extreme Pro portable SSDs. They have issued a firmware update to tackle this issue. This action demonstrates the acknowledgment of the problem’s seriousness. The main purpose of the update is to protect user data. By preventing the 4 TB model from erasing it on its own.
However, according to a report from Ars Technica, Western Digital has not yet resolved the problem with the 2 TB model. This is concerning because the company has been selling these defective SSDs for months without providing a solution. It gets even worse when you restore your data from backups and start reintroducing the lost content, only to see it slowly vanish, almost like a cyber attack.
A customer contacted SanDisk after reading an article on The Verge. SanDisk informed the customer that their driver could not be replaced because it was being recalled. Eventually, SanDisk reached an agreement with the customer to provide two 2 TB drives as compensation. However, the customer never received the drives because SanDisk’s systems were unavailable due to a data breach.
Unfortunately, it has been reported by Ars Technica that a significant number of the 2 TB models have also encountered failures. In an effort to address this issue, the company resorted to offering major discounts on its Extreme Pro SSDs in order to clear its inventory.
Do not buy these SanDisk drives. They've been faulty for months and they're trying to clear inventory with steep discounts https://t.co/Rax0FNOhod

If you happen to possess one of these SanDisk SSDs, it is highly advisable to take the necessary precautions by backing up your valuable data in a separate storage space, regardless of having installed the firmware update.
